Twelve healthy cats and kittens, who have served a quarantine period in which they were medically monitored, are now approved by the KHS veterinarians for adoption today! Their pictures and information are posted on the KHS website and they are available for holds and visits. This process is expected to continue with groups of cats and kittens being medically approved for adoption in the days to follow.

A few cats in our care recently tested positive for a contagious virus. Out of an abundance of caution, we will temporarily stop intakes and adoptions of all cats to ensure the health and safety of the pets in our care as well as those in the community. Dogs are not affected. We will continue to monitor this situation with guidance from our veterinary staff and will provide updates once normal operations resume.
If you have an upcoming intake appointment for a cat, KHS staff will be reaching out soon to reschedule for a future date. We have cancelled and refunded all cat surgeries for the next several weeks as a precaution. An email has been sent to those who have surgeries scheduled.
Thank you for your understanding and valuing the health of the pets at KHS.
