Are you a middle or high school student looking to make a difference? Community Service Saturdays are the perfect opportunity to help the Kansas Humane Society while learning about animal care and having a blast doing it!

Join us behind the scenes at the Kansas Humane Society and get hands-on experience caring for animals, learning about responsible pet care, and discovering the satisfaction of giving back. Students will have the opportunity to create enrichment, socialize with cats and dogs, help in the clinic, and other behind the scenes projects.

DETAILS:

• 9:00am to 11:30am
• For students in Grades 6-12
• $10 donation per participant
• Pre-registration is required to attend

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Participants need to be able to participate in all of the physical and learning activities.
• Because of staffing limitations, we are not able to accommodate special individual needs.
• Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate youth with severe allergies to animals or peanuts as they are involved in many volunteer activities.
• Participants are expected to be on time and volunteer the entire shift.
• Appropriate attire includes closed-toe shoes, pants, and a t-shirt/jacket
• Participants should also demonstrate eagerness to help and show respect towards animals and staff, and be able to follow instructions.
• KHS staff reserves the right to remove any participant from the program at any given time.
